When I think about Suzie the song from Sound of Music, Maria comes to mind. Although I only knew her for 63 1/2 years I have to say I have a lot of memories of her especially as a young, precocious girl who was always in the thick of things, especially when it came to giving her younger sisters and cousins a hard time; or doing the opposite of what she was told not to do. I also remember her guitar always being by her side and her beautiful voice. My wonderful cousin loved her family and her husband Dick. Although living on opposite sides of the country and being busy raising our families did not provide a lot of opportunities to visit - our reunions whether on the Chittick or Clark side or as most were a combination of both were always full of laughter and sharing our adventures and stories. Suzie, you were always in my thoughts and my prayers as Dick and your children continue to be. I can just see you with your sister Judy playing the guitar and Auntie Mary, our mom and our dads looking on smiling with love, joy and pride.

I know Dick and your kids are being held close in God's arms as they grieve their loss and celebrate you being whole and well again. You will always be with us Suzie.

As Grammy used to always say, Oceans of Love to you and yours. Til we meet again,

Debbie Chittick

Suzi will always remain in my thoughts and prayers. I have such great memories of her sitting in the living room in Portuguese Bend playing her guitar and singing for us. She had such a beautiful voice! Her laughter was so infectious as well - you just had to join in with her laughter. Suzi will be missed - but is still very much loved!
