To Cookie's family,

Don and I were sad to hear that Cookie had lost her valiant fight as she struggled through many years of difficulties. Our hearts go out to Cookie's husband, Scott and her beautiful family. Words can not express our sadness. God now has a beautiful Angel to help him guide others through the diffcult passage to heaven.

Dear Scott & family
So sorry to hear of Cookies passing. I have missed you both since you left Clearwater. Cookie was such a joyful and inspirational person. She set a great example of how to life our lives to the fullest even when it is so hard. Being a painter myself I was in awe of her amazing talent. I enjoyed playing bridge with her and just being in her presence.

God be with you,
Pat Zuidema

We lost one of our dearest friends on Thursday. We became fast friends while we were all living on Pearson Court in Holt, MI. Our kids grew up together until Scott and Cookie moved to FL but we stayed in touch through the years. Seeing them whenever we were in FL and through Christmas letters, emails and Facebook. The last time we saw Cookie was 3 years ago and we had such a nice visit. They were just about to move to their retirement home on the lake in GA and we were so excited for them. We were not able to visit her, in her new home, but saw lots of pictures or their beautiful renovations. I am so happy she was able to have these last few years at her heaven on earth home. My heart is breaking that I will not be able to spend more time with one of the sweetest, kindest, most caring human beings on earth. She taught me so much about living and I will keep her in my heart forever! As a friend said the other day, you will see her again! I so hope this is true. Rest well, my dear, sweet friend, and I will see you in heaven.

Dear Scott and Family,
Cookie was such an important part of our Welcome Newcomer Club here in Clearwater. She did a remarkable job as our newsletter editor for a number of years and she did it with grace and caring and always wtih a gentle hand and smile on her face. It was such a loss to us when she moved to Georgia, but this loss to you and your family is unmeasurable. She was such a blessing to us and may her memory be an eternal blessing to you.
