I played bridge with Pat for 14 years in several different clubs in Clayton.
Her quiet grace was always present. She laughed and cried over
the years with all of us over the loss of dear friends in our bridge groups. She
and George loved to travel three or four times a year, but she would always
pick right up when she returned. Some times she would call me from the "road"
saying she would be back in Clayton and could she play? Her quick whit was always appreciated and loved. We will all miss her greatly.

Dedicated to my sweet friend, Pat

Don't grieve for me for now I'm free
I'm following the path God made for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all

If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with memories enjoyed
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up you heart and share with me.
God wanted me now. He set me free.

Lovingly, Marilyn
