Diane had such a spirit that just being in her presence made us happy and kept us laughing. She is bringing much joy in her new home, but I guess that's what angels do! She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and Humane Society buddies.

Dear Cherniski Family, The pain of this loss is but a measure of the love we have for each another and dear Diane. Please know We who knew her as children in Claymont flood our minds with those sweet memories and for the wonderful family who always opened their hearts and doors to us. Bill, Mary, Pat, Kathy and Mike my heart aches along with you all. I can only counsel that prayer can begin the process of trying to comprehend and reaching out to others through service to can help although the void will not and should not replace these wonderful memories of a loving daughter, sister and wife. Time lived here on earth prepares us for an eternal reward with our Heavenly Father and our loved ones. Father and Daughter are celebrating a reunion we will all share some day, because we will be together again. Please accept my love respect and deepest sympathies to you all and your families. - Tom Wroe

My heart hurts and it won't stop. I will always remember what fun we had when we were all together. I was just telling my daughter about the time in Myrtle Beach Diane and I pretended to be a news crew interviewing the guys when they came in from golf. I had a huge video camera and Diane had these huge rubber seagulls hanging from her ears with a tube of hand cream for a microphone. I love you Diane.

I am overwhelmed at the thought of losing Diane. I am devastated and at a loss for the words to make any of this make sense. As I was driving home today, I thought about Diane and wanted to remember to send some cards to see how you are all doing. As I returned home, Sheila Freize called and told me. Aunt Rose and Bobbi also send their deepest sympathies. I wish I could be there with you all to celebrate her life, but you can be sure that I will do it here with all of you in mind. There will be so many to welcome Diane into heaven, she will not be alone there. Mrs. C, I am so sorry. Bill, Patsy, Mike and Catherine my prayers are always with you. I think of you often and miss you. Please be sure to call on me should you need anything. Celia 302/764-7312

I am so sad about Diane, I probably haven't seen you, Bill, in 15 years or so, but some of my best childhood memories were with Diane. She was so great to me, my sister, and brother, I still miss those Fourth of July parties, and remember all the fun we had at Myrtle Beach. Diane always gave wonderful hugs. I know my sister Courtney and brother Zack have your family in their thoughts as well. Lots of love. Krissy Brown (now Mase).

I am sad to hear of Diane's passing. I knew Diane from DuPont where she started in the keypunch room. We worked closely for years and had so much fun together. I remember when she had her beautiful home built on Zebley Road. She was so proud of it and excited to move in. I was working in the same group with her when she received the devastating news that she had MS. We laughed and cried with her about it. She was a trooper. She lived life to its fullest. She will be sadly missed. She probably would remember me by by prior married name, Linda Olin.

So sorry to hear of Diane's passing. She was so bubbily and full of life, and although she suffered for many years she never let you know when she had a bad day. I bowled with her for years, until she decided she wanted to be in Georgia, lots of great memories. She loved our bus trips to Atlantic City, in lieu of a bowling banquet every year. On the ride home she would get into the wine and before we reached our destination she would be singing DayOh! She was always the life of the party! Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill and your family. Barbara and Lloyd Godshalk

Great years of bowling together at Holiday Lanes, thanks for the memories and making a difference in our lives.

We were kids together in Claymont and eventually became family. Over the years we seldom saw each other, but we always kept up on the other's lives through our siblings and parents. And when we did see each other, usually we ended up laughing our heads off about one thing or another! Such fun, now just memories! Gone too soon but never forgotten! We'll all miss you, Diane!

My sister, Diane, lived her life on her own terms, no apologies, no regrets. She inspired me with her inner strength and her ability to make every life experience fun for herself and those around her. Whenever I became overwhelmed with life’s stresses, I would always ask myself … how would Diane handle this? A smile would invariably cross my face. Diane lives on in my heart and I will continue to ask that question when times get tough. Bill, you showed incredible dignity and grace during the difficult time Diane was hospitalized. You were there for her ever minute of her last days as you were for your entire marriage. I admire your strength. Don’t forget your power in the months and years to come.

Bill...so many good times, so many great memories! Diane had a beautiful smile, wonderful hug, and a laugh that was contagious. Her quick wit and never ending sense of humor made even going to the laundromat fun (Myrtle Beach). It's hard to think of a time when we were with her and not laughing. I think of you and the Cherniski family often at this difficult time and wish we lived closer. Hope to see you soon. Love, Susan

Dear Mary, Pat and Cathy, I was so so sorry to hear about Diane's passing. It was through Ruth Govatos, who I saw the other day, that I heard the news. It was such a shock to me. I only wish I had had the opportunity to get to know her better over the years. I have been so negligent about keeping up with friends and family. I always thought Diane was the most beautiful, kind and sweetest person. I'm having trouble here with this, she was so dear and I know this is just devastating for your families. If you have an opportunity, please contact me some time. I would love to hear from you. With all my love and deepest prayers and thoughts are with you. Ruthann
