Albert Wilson Rhodes, Jr., age 50 of Watkinsville, GA, died September 2, 2005, after a six month illness. He was a native of Union Point, GA., and was the son of Gladys Y. Rhodes of Union Point and the late Albert W. Rhodes, Sr. He spent most of his adult life in the banking and insurance businesses. Albert was known for his positive attitude, sense of humor, and helpful spirit.

Survivors include his wife Edna B. Rhodes, Watkinsville, GA; a brother, Keith Rhodes, Greensboro, NC; three sisters and spouses, Paula and Johnny Swint of Warthen, GA, Wilma and Kevin Nichols of Greensboro, GA, and Kelly Hanes of Union Point, GA. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mary Jim Boswell, Watkinsville, GA; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bill and Mary Boswell, Athens, GA; Mary Jo and Hilton Hightower, Blakely, GA and by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Watkinsville First Baptist Church on Sunday, September 4, 2005, at 3 pm with Rev. Carlos Sibley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the memorial service.

The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund at Watkinsville First Baptist Church, 1610 Simonton Bridge Road, Watkinsville, GA. 30677.

I am so sorry for your loss. Albert was my insurance adjustor and was of tremendous help to me when my husband passed away three years ago. God Bless you.

E.D., I was so sorry to hear about Albert. I don't know if you remember me or not, I took your wedding pictures in New Orleons. I was with Claire, Kim, Mary Jo , and Trey. That was a fun trip. I really loved Mr. Bill, he was always so much fun. I haven,t seen Miss Jimmy in a while. I am always out of town for Christmas and miss M. J.s Christmas eve party.
