Both of us were classmates of Roy back in the 60s in Oglethorpe County, and our memories of Roy are identical. We both remember him as exceptionally kind, and someone we liked very, very much. He is remembered in this same way by many other old friends from Oglethorpe County. Our sincerest sympathy to Roy's family. May God bless you with memories that will comfort you in the days to come.

So sorry for your loss. It is hard to give up the ones you love but it's much harder to watch them suffer and know there's nothing you can do. Know that you have friends that are here to help if only you will ask. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know. Loving you and the family and keeping you in our prayers. Nancy(Smith)Lowry

I had the pleasure of working with Roy at Port Armor. I simply cannot put into words how much I respected Roy. He was an honorable employee for me who always was willing to tackle any task. He never questioned his duties and was one that I could always depend on. It's easy for me to visualize Roy's performance in the USMC. I'm certain that he would have been an honor to serve with and a valuable servant for our country. It's not every day that you meet an individual like Roy nor have the pleasure of knowing him. I'm fortunate that I had this opportunity and relish the time we worked together. I'm certain Roy is in a much better place now however his absence will create a void that no one can fill. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
