Aunt Debbie, Tricia, Melinda, Kevin and family, I want you to know I loved Wayne very much, I know what a good and loving man he was, he always took such good care of you Debbie and gave you a very happy marriage; I envy you for that; to help you through the great absence you are feeling, just know that he is with Granddaddy and Little Mama and the baby brother he never knew, Thomas Franklin, now and more importantly with our Heavenly Father, who he loved so very much as is evidence by the life he lived. As in the Brad Paisley song, "When I Get Where I am Going", we can't cry for him down here..he is in a much better place than we are. God Bless him, his life and all of you. I love you! Tricia, You are in my thoughts every moment. The loss of your father must be one of the more difficult journeys throughout life. I pray to God that He lets me take on some of your pain during this difficult time until you are strong enough to bare this on your own. My love and heart goes out to you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Godbee Family. Wayne was a good man and a pleasure to work with. Godbee Communications was a big part of the Harland Family for some years. We will always remember his smiling face and his laughter.

I had the pleasure of working with Wayne at the Home Depot. We became very good friends and had a very good working relationship. He will be missed dearly. We discussed everything from God to cars and shared alot of opinions about life in general. I know he has received his wings and is smiling down on the legacy he left behind. Honor him by celebrating life as he did and take nothing for granted. May God bless your family and friends forever and a day! Sincerely Andrew Martin - friend and brother in Christ of Wayne Godbee.
