We are so sad to hear this news. We were in Greene County a couple of weekends ago and stopped by the house and there was no one home. We later learned that both of you were in the hospital. Our prayers are with the family and especially "Miss" Jane. We are thinking of you. Love always, David, Suzanne, Blake, Alex, Austin, and Margaret

Jane, You may not remember me, but I served as a Regional Director for the State for Superintendent McDaniel and Rogers. I had the opportunity to work with the Ed so many times. He was a dear friend and a great School Superintendent. I enjoyed my visits to Greene County and especially Union Point. You will be in my prayers. Thank you and Ed for your service to the children of Greene County. Jim Gurley

Jane and family, I was so saddened today when I received my Greensboro Herald Journal and read of Ed's death. As you may remember, I spent three wonderful years working in the Greene County School Superintendent's office with Ed and Ford Boston. Ed was a wonderful person and a good friend. May God's blessings be upon you and all your family during this time of loss. Marlene Ransom
