Willie Mae Head, age 84, of Madison, GA, died on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Boswell Parker Health & Rehabilitation in Greensboro, GA. Born on January 26, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Head and Mattie Lou Mize Head. She attended Morgan County High School and worked for Wellington Puritan Cordage Mill in Madison, GA for thirty years. She married Harold Cleveland Head who preceded her in death on November 7, 2006.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Elaine Finch and husband Frank of Union Point, GA and Judy L. Mitchell and husband Darren of Rutledge, GA; three sons, Dewey L. Bishop, Jr. and wife Patricia of Madison, GA, Michael Larry Bishop and wife Missy of Chicago, IL, Joseph Murray Bishop of Madison, GA; stepson, Harold Jeffery Head and wife Marlene of Rutledge, GA; three sisters, Georgia Bell Evans and husband Flay of Madison, GA, Nora Lou Bishop of Rutledge, GA and Annette Greene and husband Donald of Jackson, MS; ten grandchildren, David Herrington, Dusty Bishop, Ryan Bishop, Michael Bishop, Christy Bishop, Melanie Cash, Kristopher Finch, Carly Mitchell, Amy Head and Cindy Bishop; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Gerald Bishop officiating.
