William C. Poole also known as “Bill”, of Danielsville, GA passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022. He was born March 12, 1932, in the Shiloh Community close to Greensboro, GA to the late Curtis and Henriella Hill Poole. After graduating from Greensboro High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served 20 years overseas and in the United States. His first assignment overseas was in England, where he met a young lady from Ireland, Elizabeth Henry. One year later on June 21, 1952, he married her in Oxford. After retiring from the United States Air Force, he settled in the city of Danielsville in Madison County Georgia. This was near the University of Georgia where he was employed and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. After 10 years with Johnson and Johnson, he retired again. This allowed him to volunteer his time to various activities in the Danielsville and Madison County area. Among other things he was the President of the Football Youth Association for North Georgia and secretary for the American Legion. In his leisure time, he enjoyed feeding the birds.
In addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, Elizabeth Henry Poole, he is survived by his son, Darren Poole; grandchildren, Michael Poole (Asaza), Nicala Poole, Taylor Poole Harrison (Adam) and Dustin Poole (Rachel); eleven great grandchildren: Jaden, Michael, Ashton, Sophie, Clayton, Skyler, John, Abel, Alden, Ariel and Lathin, and many friends.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Bill Thomas officiating.
