Obituary

William (Bill) Coffman went to be with the Lord March 27, 2023 peacefully at home in Greensboro, Ga. Born in Akron, Ohio 3/14/1944, raised in Talmadge, he served proudly in the USMC in Washington, D.C. He retired from Goodyear Tire after 34 years as an electrician.

Bill was a voracious reader who enjoyed gardening. He was creative and artistic and his woodshop-workshop was his hideout, when he was not travelling the world.

He was a man of few words, but when he talked, it was generally to brag about his sons. When asked about “getting religion”, he’d correct with “I accepted Jesus Christ”, with the hope that the inquiring person would too.

He was preceded in death by parents, William (Bill), and Mary Coffman. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Oakley), sons Brian and Brad (Sarah), grandchildren, Madeleine, Carson, Jude and Eli, brothers James (Carol) Coffman and David Coffman and loving nieces and nephews.
