William "Bill" Stanley Caldwell

William “Bill” Stanley Caldwell, 77, of Hoschton, GA quietly passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, William “Bill” and Elise Caldwell and one sister, Linda Caldwell Brackett. He is survived by his daughter Brittany Marie Caldwell, siblings Sandra Caldwell Glass and Karen Caldwell Gaughan, along with many nieces and nephews.

Billy was born in Greensboro, GA in 1945 and graduated from Greensboro High School. He attended the University of Georgia, where he proudly played the trumpet for the Red Coat Band. He later went on to attend Athens Tech as well. Billy worked at Scientific Atlanta/Electromagnetic Science for over 45 years, until he retired. Upon retirement, Billy thrived at his “farm” where he boarded horses and enjoyed his fishing pond. He was an active member at Center Church in Hoschton, GA for over 10 years. Billy was cherished for years as “Uncle Billy” by his nieces and nephews, when he had no children of his own. In 1991, he welcomed a beautiful daughter, Brittany, whom he adored throughout his life.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the gifted caregivers at Mulberry Grove Senior Living and Homestead Hospice. Becky Manders was also a special caregiver and blessing who became his family. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 22 at 2pm at McCommons Chapel in Greensboro, GA.
