William Thompson Obituary

William Alexander “Andy” Thompson, age 58, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Thursday, January 31, 2008. He was born on December 23, 1949 to the late Rowland Alec Thompson and Willie Rebecca Poss Thompson Meek. He attended Greensboro High School and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1969 until 1971. For a while he worked for Highway Supply in Jesup, Maryland and then milked for John Cannon Dairy. For a period of time he was in the pulpwood industry and worked for Wood Kraft. His last job was milking for Ray Duvall’s Dairy. Andy is survived by a daughter, Brandy Carol Thompson of Madison, GA; two sons, Alec Corey “Coco” Thompson and Josh Thompson both of Greensboro, GA; two sisters, Dodie Hodge of Pangburn, AR and Terry Hill of Batesville, AR; nine brothers, James Thompson and wife Teresa of Greensboro, GA, Mike Thompson and wife Ester of Greensboro, GA, Bobby Joe Thompson of Florida, Ricky Night of Yosilanti, Michigan, Randy Meek of Wyoming, Rusty Meek of Arkansas, David Meek of Berkley Springs, WV, Cletus Meek of Florida and Aubrey Meek of Great Cacaton, WV; four grandchildren, Samantha Thompson, Aleczandra Thompson, Victoria Thompson and Kayla Thompson; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodville Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Kitchens officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Poss, Billy Poss, Jamie Thompson, Stephen Thompson, John Beal and Jason Thompson. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
