William Lawrence Reeve

William Lawrence “Bill” Reeve, age 78, of Greensboro, GA, died Saturday, August 12, 2006, at Heartland Hospice Services of Conyers. Bill was born on November 28, 1927 in Ottawa County, Michigan and was raised in Holland, Michigan by the late Russell Charles Reeve and Madelon Crabb Reeve. After graduating from Holland High School, he entered the Army Air Corp and served as an air traffic controller in Hawaii. When he was discharged, Bill took his BS in Engineering at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. While there, he met and married Annette Mary Fazio who preceded him in death. Bill graduated in 1951 and accepted a position as chemical engineer at B. F. Goodrich in Akron, Ohio. In 1957 he received his JD degree from the University of Akron. The Reeve family relocated to Palatine, Illinois in 1966 and Bill assumed the position of General Counsel for Chemplex Company and its successors. In 1969 he married Nancy Anderson Bruce. They resided in Barrington, Illinois before retiring to Savannah, Georgia in 1991. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Barrington, IL. He and his wife, Nancy, moved to Greensboro, Georgia in 2003. Mr. Reeve is survived by his wife, Nancy Anderson Bruce Reeve; his children and their spouses, Patricia Reeve and Debra Briggs of Boston, Massachusetts, Richard Reeve of Carterville, Illinois, Thomas and Katherine Reeve of Frisco, Texas and Carol and Ted Rumatz of Crystal Lake, Illinois; three grandchildren, Laurie Jean McLaughlin, Katherine Anne Rumatz and Matthew John Reeve. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A memorial mass will be scheduled for a later date at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Barrington, Illinois with inurnment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine, Illinois. The family requests that any memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, Three Corporate Square, Suite 120, Atlanta, GA 30329 or the Oconee Regional Humane Society, P. O.
