Wayne Gladden Ashley

Wayne Gladden Ashley age 78 of Greensboro, GA, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA.  Wayne was born March 11, 1945 in Birmingham, AL to the late Pelham Cole Ashley and Mary Gladden Ashley.  He attended Samford University and in 1997 married Edith Carol Berryman.  At the time of his death they had been married twenty-six years.  He was an insurance adjuster for Cincinnati Insurance Company. Moving to Greensboro in 2009, he spent his time traveling, going to car shows and collecting guns and knives.  He attended First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.  

Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol Ashley of Greensboro, GA.  He is also survived by his children of a previous marriage, son, Michael Ashley and daughter, Connie Denise Ashley; a brother-in-law, Jim Berryman and his wife Patsy; and great grandchild, Ashley Nichole Tinker, along with many friends.

The family will hold a celebration of his life at a later time.
