Trina Louise Callaway, of Rutledge, GA, died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the age of 65 at her home with her loved ones. Trina was born in Greensboro, GA on October 11, 1957, to Mary Louise Poss Callaway Taylor and the late Reuben Pierce Callaway. She attended Greensboro High School and received her CNA from Southern Crescent College. She was proud of her work helping others in their home and for a time worked for Robin Wood Assisted Living and then went out on her own. She attended Grace Fellowship Church in Madison. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking. Going to yard sales and fishing were two of her favorite past times. Family was most important to her and she truly enjoyed her grand babies. She also enjoyed being with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tasha Louise Vandiver. Survivors include her mother, Mary Louise Poss Callaway Taylor; her sons, Stephen Adam Jervis, Alex Jervis, Gary Vandiver (Melissa), Rodney Pierce Vandiver, Jerry Todd Vandiver (Amber Jolene), Brad Alexander Jervis and Andrew Jacob Jervis; sisters, Tracy Smith (Charles) and Tonya Callaway; step siblings, Barbara Parker, Hilda Anderson and Jack Callaway; twenty grandchildren and four great grandchildren; along with other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Trina’s life will be held at a later time with Chaplain Sharon White of Peaceful Purpose Hospice officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
