Thomas Robert Miklich, 78, of Greensboro, GA (Lake Oconee), passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025.
Born on April 17, 1947, and raised in Cleveland, OH-before spending years in Charlotte, NC-Thomas was the embodiment of determination and an unwavering work ethic. The son of a fire chief, he worked tirelessly for everything he achieved, carrying that drive through his athletic career as a gifted player of football and basketball, and into his education, culminating in a Juris Doctor advanced degree.
Thomas achieved great professional success, holding Chief Financial Officer (CFO) roles at well-known Cleveland companies and serving on numerous Boards of Directors. Yet, his remarkable career was outshone by his boundless generosity. He was renowned for his kindness, treating everyone-from the security guard to the CEO-with the utmost respect. He ensured everyone always felt welcome and cared for. He cherished attending professional sporting events, often sharing those moments with his children.
He is survived by five loving children, six cherished grandchildren, and countless other family members who were touched by his impact. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date to celebrate Thomas's extraordinary life.
