Thomas Wesley Goss, Jr

Thomas Wesley Goss, Jr., age 55, of Union Point, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his home in Union Point. He was born June 4, 1955, in Greensboro, Greene County, Georgia to the late Thomas Wesley Goss, Sr. and Myrtle Christine Shubert Goss. He grew up in Union Point and attended Greene County Schools. For a number of years he worked for Wellington Puritan Mills in Greensboro as a forklift operator and warehouse supervisor and also worked at the Flying J in Siloam in maintenance. Most recently he worked as a security guard for ISMG at Reynolds Plantation. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church in Greensboro. He enjoyed barbecuing, listening to music and making stew for family dinners.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Brenda Nan Stewart Goss of Union Point, GA; a daughter, Adrianne Copelan and husband Josh of Greensboro, GA; four sons, Clay Goss and wife Lisa of Winder, GA, Travis Goss and wife Laurie of Colbert, GA, Clint Goss and Ethan Goss both of Union Point, GA; two sisters, Debbie Dominy and Charlene Black both of Greensboro, GA; two brothers, Joe Fredrick Goss of Silver, GA and James Roy Goss of Cumming, GA; eight grandchildren, Hayden Goss, Greyson Goss, Ellis Ruth "Ellie" Copelan, Jasper Price Copelan, Ansleigh Goss, Caleb Goss, Ryleigh Goss and Liam Goss; and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Grayson Goss and William Leslie "Bill" Goss; and a nephew Jeffery Thomas "Jay" Black, III.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Wesleyan Church, 2830 Highway 15 South, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Tim Tabler officiating assisted by Paul Goss. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669. Serving as pallbearers are Clint Goss, Ethan Goss, Michael Black, Doug Goss, Joey Goss and Billy Goss. Honorary pallbearers are Austin Knight, David Corry, Josh Knight and Adam Coile.
