Terry Watkins

Terry Watkins, age 74, of Siloam, GA passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.  He was born November 10, 1949, in Greensboro, GA to Jean Gipson Watkins of Siloam, GA and the late Roney Bristol Watkins.  He was a lifelong resident of Greene County and graduated from Greene County High School.  For many years he was the driver for ROCA Trucking.  You could always find Terry outside fishing or working with his cows. He also enjoyed sports and tinkering with old cars. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother Jean Watkins, he is survived by his daughters, Amy Watkins of Union Point, GA and Wendy Smith and husband Will of Union Point, GA; his sister, Barbara Overton (David); and his grandson, Liam Smith. He was preceded in death by his father, Roney Watkins.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. James Bowen officiating.  Serving as pallbearers will be Wade Overton, Rocky Land, Will Smith, Robby McCannon, Mark Gipson and Tracy Gipson. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Durham, Terry O’Neal, Lance Land, Frank Moore, Peanut O’Neal, Karl Hieber, Tim Burden and Eddie Nunn. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at McCommons Funeral Home.  Interment will be at the Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, GA 30665.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
