Terry Richard Taylor
Terry Richard Taylor, age 81, of Robinson Community (Crawfordville), GA, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Taylor was born at Margarets Grove on November 2, 1933 to Ruby Elizabeth and William Omer Taylor, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, W. O. Taylor, Jr. and a sister, Ruby Taylor Griffen. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Moore Taylor, Robinson; daughters and sons-in-law, Tereesa (Taylor) and Frank Smith, Ball Ground, Leigh (Taylor) and Dan Bubacz, Acworth, son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Tiffany Taylor, Social Circle; grandchildren, Adrienne and Adam Smith, Jacob Bubacz, Hannah Taylor and Cole Hamilton, brother, Fred Taylor and sister, Evelyn Taylor Muggridge.
After graduating from Alexander H. Stephens High School in 1952, he left Crawfordville to serve three years in the United States Army. Upon return from the Army, he went to work at Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA. He retired in 1996 after 38 years on the job. Terry maintained two other jobs most of his working career. He operated Taylor Tree Service throughout Dekalb County and Atlanta and worked his farm in Robinson where he and his wife returned to reside after retiring from Lockheed. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Union Point. He will be missed by all of the people, friends and family alike, whom he touched throughout his life. We are all better people for knowing him.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Veazey Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Dr. James Choomack officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until time for the service at the church. Interment will be in the Robinson Cemetery, 3230 Greensboro Road, Union Point, GA 30669.
