William Terrell (Terry) Burnette

William Terrell (Terry) Burnette, age 77, was born in Greensboro, Georgia, on November 2, 1942, and passed away on September 18, 2020. His parents were Sam and Lorene Burnette. Terry was a graduate of Greensboro High School. A semi-retired carpenter, he did a great deal of volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity. Terry was an avid sports fan who enjoyed baseball, football and basketball.  He was a lifelong member of Walker United Methodist Church.

Terry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Hale and Glenda Burnette, two nephews, Ken and Mike Burnette, and their families, including 8 great nieces and nephews, and 5 great-great nieces and nephews. His family will greatly miss him and his quiet, steady presence in their lives. 

Family graveside services will be held Sunday, September 20, at Walker United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the local Habitat for Humanity, 1373 Willow Run Road, P O Box 321, Greensboro, GA 30642 or to Walker United Methodist Church, 2730 Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
