Teresa "Teri" Jean (Anderson) Bragg

Teresa “Teri” Jean Bragg, age 60, of Greensboro, Georgia unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Teri was born on June 9, 1961 and was the daughter of Donald Bruce Anderson and Kathy Garner.

Teri’s love for hospitality was evident to all who were blessed to encounter her. Her restaurant, The Yesterday Cafe which began in Rutledge, Georgia and moved to Greensboro, Georgia in 2005, is one of the town’s most prized establishments and a lively gathering spot for the community that admired her. Her buttermilk pies, which gained national recognition, and her southern hospitality attributed to making Historic Greensboro, Georgia a travel destination. Visitors were often personally greeted by Teri’s warm smiling face when they entered the cafe.  She enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises, which always included her grandchildren.  Some of her happiest times were spent with her grandchildren, swimming in the pool, lake, or ocean. She was her grandchildren’s number one fan and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on at sporting events and school activities. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who was adored by many. She was most proud of her family and loved them deeply. Teri will be missed in countless ways, but her legacy will live forever. 

Survivors include her parents: Donald Bruce Anderson (Cathy) and Kathy Garner; five children: Chris Bragg (Katie) of Greensboro, GA, Matt Bragg (Autumn) of Greensboro, GA, Alan Bragg (Ashleigh) of Madison, GA, Carrie Hunter (Brock) of Watkinsville, GA and Lee Bragg (Stacey) of Medina, OH; seventeen grandchildren: Presley, Ollie, Lailie, Nathan, Bryce, Braxton, Marley, Brooks, Mattie, Spencer, Nevaeh, Brayleigh, Paisley, Autry, Charley, Emily and Julianna; siblings: Steven Anderson (Anna), Cami Downey (Neal), Christy Reid (Mike), Shelby Coriaty and Leah Freedman; other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Kerry Lynn Anderson.

A Celebration of Teri’s life will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodwin Manor, 306 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642.  Teri lived a beautiful and vibrant life, so the family is requesting guests wear colors to reflect the joy she brought to all of us. The family will receive friends Friday, September 10, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
