Susan (Farr) Stinchcomb

Susan Farr Stinchcomb, age 66, of the Greshamville Community, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at her residence.  Born in Thomson, GA on October 19, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Margaret Smith Farr.  Susan graduated from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School and attended Piedmont College.  She married Edwin “Eddie” Stinchcomb III on May 26, 1979. She worked as a secretary for Pennington Seed in Madison, GA and later for Stewart Finance Company in Union Point, GA.  She was a member of Fork Chapel United Methodist Church.  Susan was a great seamstress and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. 

In addition to her husband, Eddie Stinchcomb of the Greshamville Community, she is survived by two sons, Edwin Gary Stinchcomb and wife Megan of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Major William Jacob Stinchcomb of the United States Air Force and wife Nicole of Dayton, OH; sister, Peggy Rehberg and husband Charles of Thomasville, GA; grandson, Wyatt Stinchcomb; other relatives and many friends. 

Memorial Services will be held at Fork Chapel United Methodist Church, 1401 Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650 Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tony Gavalas officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday at Fork Chapel United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Inurnment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 1400 Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650. The family requests that any memorials be made to Fork Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1670 Reid Duvall Road, Madison, GA 30650.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
