Susan Dianne Ruark Copelan, age 65, of the Greshamville Community, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was born November 29, 1956, the daughter of Pat B. Ruark and Louise Treadwell Ruark. She graduated from Nathanael Greene Academy and Athens Tech. On January 2, 1983 she married Corry Marion Copelan III. Along with her husband Corry, she was the operator of Copelan Farms. She was a member of Woodville Baptist Church. The many things she enjoyed were kayaking, riding horse back, riding motorcycles, driving a Kubota side by side, skiing and being in the woods, but most of all being with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Hannah Louise Copelan; a son, C. M.Copelan; sisters, Elizabeth Patricia Bramlett, Carolyn Louise Siver, and Deborah Shuman; grandchildren, Cody Patterson, Charles Marion Copelan, Chloe Madison Ghann, and Miles Dillon Copelan; a number of other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Corry Copelan; a daughter, Kim Beal Patterson; a grandson, Mason Gavin Gregory; and a brother, Charles Ruark.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Greensboro City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Patrick Tice officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
