Steven Lee Spalding

Steven Lee Spalding, 61, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away at his residence on June 24, 2026.

A native of Burbank, California, Steve attended John Burroughs High School and started working for Hollywood Rentals while still a student. This would be the start of the career he built in the film industry spanning decades. The last two being with Cinelease Inc., where colleagues became family.

Steve spent a lifetime bringing his dedication, warmth, and expertise to everything he did. A larger-than-life personality, he was a mentor to many and a friend to all.

His happiest moments included watching his daughter, Caroline, flourish into a successful, caring woman. Outside of work, Steve’s time revolved around his family, his wife Ursula, and his dogs. He enjoyed sitting around the firepit telling stories and laughing while enjoying a good cigar with friends. Steve enjoyed the outdoors whether by camping, boating, or off-roading in his jeep. He was always seeking out the uncharted paths less travelled.

A celebration of life will be held at Lakepoint Community Church (106 Village Ln., Eatonton, GA 31024) on July 8, 2026 at 1:00pm where Steve was a dedicated service member.  Friends and family will be gathering afterwards at the Church with refreshments and food to share stories and memories.

In addition to his wife, Ursula Spalding, he is survived by his daughter, Caroline Blansett Spalding (Ryan Blansett); his father, Donald Spalding (Pam- preceded in death); and his mother, Josephine Andreae (Steve); his sister, Georgeanne Hoffner (Martin); his nieces, Sorrelle, Shaela, and Shelby Hoffner. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
