Stan served as an Elder and as Chairman of Buildings & Grounds, and together he and Flo taught five-year-old Sunday School. Stan was passionate about volunteering and was recognized with an award for his work with the Atlanta Union Mission. In 2020, Stan and Flo retired to Lake Oconee to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. They became members of Madison Presbyterian Church, continuing their commitment to faith and community.
Stan’s favorite pastime was playing golf. He was a member of Wildcat Cliffs Country Club in Highlands, North Carolina. Twice each year, Stan looked forward to golf trips planned with a group of his closest friends, relationships that spanned more than four decades and were deeply cherished by him.
