Scott Norris Obituary

Scott Dennison Norris, a resident of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 10, 1964, in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, Scott was the cherished son of Franklin Dennison Norris and Sandra (Beighley) Norris. He grew up in Monroeville and graduated with the Class of 1982 from Gateway High School, where he was known for his quick wit and friendly demeanor.

Scott’s life was enriched when, on August 14, 1999, he married Beth (Davidson) Norris. Their partnership was a source of great joy and strength. They met in Bethesda, MD and lived in Florida, Tennessee, and Colorado before settling in Oconee County, Georgia. They then relocated to Greensboro three years ago, embracing the lake community lifestyle.

Scott worked in the hotel industry for over thirty years, where his enthusiasm and commitment earned him the respect of his colleagues and clients. He was known by all as the best father and husband—a man who dedicated his life to his family, always putting their needs and happiness above his own.

Scott’s life was filled with the things he loved most—music, adventure, service, and family. A true music enthusiast, he especially loved Dream Theater and all things music, often finding pure joy behind his drum set. His passion for travel brought endless memories, and his commitment to community service reflected his generous heart.

Above all, Scott was devoted to his children. He never missed a sporting event, a school awards night, or a milestone worth celebrating. He was there every morning at the bus stop, always showing up for their biggest moments with unwavering pride and support.

A lifelong Steelers fan, Scott loved watching games and taking his kids to cheer on their team. He also cherished the world of Star Wars—he and his children never missed an opening night of the newest releases, a tradition they eagerly shared. Scott embraced all his passions with joy, loyalty, and enthusiasm, leaving behind a legacy of rhythm, laughter, and wholehearted love.

In addition to his beloved wife, Beth Norris of Greensboro, Scott’s legacy lives on through his children: his only son, Connor Norris, and his daughters, Ashley (Norris) Rhodes (Matt) and Katie Norris. He also leaves behind his loyal and much-loved pet, Luckie Norris, who was a constant source of companionship. Scott is also survived by countless friends who will deeply miss his vibrant presence, his sense of humor, his undeniable rhythm and love for music, and his unwavering friendship. He was preceded in death by his parents, Denny and Sandy Norris, and his sister, Kelly Easterling.
