Sarah Diane (Suggs) Clifton

Sarah Diane Suggs Clifton of Siloam, GA, died Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the age of 68 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA. A native of Tifton, GA she was born January 6, 1955, the daughter of the late Eulas Vinson and Oma Effie Harper Suggs.  On May 10, 1974 she married Wayne Clifton.  Over the years she worked for Stewart Apparel, Hometown Manufacturing and later on worked as a clerk for Sunrise Convenience Store.   Hunting for arrowheads and fishing were her most enjoyed pastimes.
 
Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Wayne Clifton of Siloam, GA; sons, John W. Clifton and Josh Dane Clifton (Sara); grandchildren, Carolyn Clifton, Taylor Clifton, Summer Clifton, Nick Clifton, Mallory Clifton and Cloee Clifton; sisters, Miriam Jane Suggs Lewis and Gladys Kay Suggs; brothers, Pasco Allen Suggs, Troy Vinson Suggs, Emmett Mitchel Suggs, and Eulas Gene Suggs; and a number of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Lane Clifton.
 
Graveside Services will be held, Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Siloam Cemetery, Church Street, Siloam, Georgia with Rev. Robert Robinson officiating with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at McCommons Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Stuart Harris, Kenny Taylor, Jack Dennis, James Coleman, Allen Coleman and Morgan Lanier.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
