Roy Angles Obituary

Roy Garner Angles of Athens, GA passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Wesley Woods of Athens/Talmadge Terrace. He was 87. A native of Greensboro he was born August 22, 1934 the son of the late John Riley Angles and Mamie Hubbard Angles. Mr. Angles was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy. When he was younger he ran Angles Corner in Greensboro, GA. In more recent years he was an ordained minister with New Life Worship Center for nearly twenty years. Roy enjoyed socializing with his friends in his community. He was a member of Alps Road Presbyterian Church in Athens, GA.

Roy is survived by his daughters, Ginger Lynn Angles of Colbert, GA and Rhonda Jane Lowe of Athens, GA and sons, Chuji Angles of Watkinsville, GA and Artemus Angles of Abilene, TX and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Artemus Angles.

A Graveside Service with military honors was held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greensboro City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Greensboro, GA with Dr. Bob Bohler officiating.
