Rose Marie (Wright) Combs

Rose Marie Combs, age 84 of Macomb, passed away early Wednesday morning at her home.

She was born March 7, 1939 to Gladys Wright in Detroit, Michigan. On September 20, 1980 Rose was united in marriage with Kermit E. Combs at Zion United Church of Christ, Mount Clemens.

Rose was employed and retired from Macomb County Friend of the Court. When Rose & Kermit retired to Greensboro Georgia, Rose enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society and also the book club. She was a former member of Zion United Church of Christ and the Ladies Auxiliary at church. Rose had impeccable taste when it came to decorating for Christmas and she loved her Santa Claus collection. She had a passion for her and Kermit's traditional open house, every Christmas Eve and it was loved by all who attended.

Surviving are her children, Michael J. Pingel and Laura A. (Mark) Reed; step daughter, Sherry K. Hanley; grandchildren, Amber (Hanley) (Aaron) Charrette, Brianna Hanley, Michael (Hannah) Pingel II, Nathan Pingel and Maxwell Reed; great grandchildren, Baylee, Nora and Sophie Charrette. Rose was predeceased  by her husband, Kermit  E. Combs in 2017; stepson, Kermit “Alan” Combs, and siblings, Dorothy “Elizabeth” Pardee, Willodean “Nikki” VanDoren and William “Donnie” D. Wright Sr.

A memorial Service will be held January 20, 2024 at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:30 am until time for the service at Walker United Methodist Church, 2730, Walker Church Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
