Robert Edward “Spark Plug” Pugh, age 83, of Buckhead, GA, died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta. Born in Greensboro, GA, on November 7, 1929 he was the son of the late Jack Pugh and Mina Moon Pugh. Mr. Pugh served his country with honor in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and operator of a Convenience Store in Morgan County. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and loved horses and attending the rodeo during the seventies. His other passion was gardening and he always had one of the prettiest gardens in Morgan County. Along with his friend Horace “Rudy” Bridges he cooked some of the best BBQ and stew. Mr. Pugh was a member of Cornerstone Christian Center in Madison, GA. He is survived by three daughters, Robin Crystal Luna and husband Steven of Buckhead, GA, Barbara Schwab and husband Mark of Watkinsville, GA and Penney Booth of Buckhead, GA; sister, Mary Agnes Reynolds of Madison, GA; niece, Laura Jones and husband Gary; grandchildren, Cruz Luna, Victor Hernandez, Christine Schwab, Michael Schwab and Johnny Schwab; a good friend and caretaker, James Washington; and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Christian Center, 257 S. Main Street, Madison, GA 30650 with Rev. Gary Pritchett and Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Madison Memorial Cemetery, Central Avenue, Madison, GA 30650. Serving as pallbearers are Victor Hernandez, Dan Dicks, Carl Sims, James Sprayberry, Gary Jones and James Washington. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at Cornerstone Christian Center. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
