Regina"Gina Bean" Jackson Obituary

Regina “Gina Bean” Michelle Jackson, 54, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA, surrounded by her loved ones.

A resident of Milledgeville, GA most of her life, Gina was born April 16,1968 in Los Angeles, CA, to the late Victoria Lee Wilson Jackson and John Walter Jackson.

Gina truly enjoyed life and was the center of attention no matter where she was or who she was with. She made sure everyone knew when she was around. Gina did not have a traditional education like most people, she lived her life in simple ways and learned through life experiences. She enjoyed the small things in life that most of us take for granted. She loved her cokes, M&Ms, Big Macs, powdered donuts and potato salad, flying on airplanes, going on car rides (she got that from her Mama), road trips, coloring beautiful artistic pictures for her loved ones, listening to her favorite music like “Cecelia” (Simon and Garfunkel) / Celebration (Kool & The Gang) / No Parking on the Dance Floor (Midnight Star), dancing and singing along with the music on her record player (she was her own personal DJ and would allow you to sing and dance too, just never touch her records or her pocketbook), reading her magazines, taking care of her baby doll, enjoying time and outings with her house mates (Family) Nancy / Debra / Walter, keeping her House Mothers (Detoya, Jean, Sharesa, Shandrece, Jessica, Keneshia and Sandra) on their toes but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her Family and loved ones. Throughout her life, Gina brought joy and happiness to everyone who knew her. You could not know Gina without loving her and lighting up every time you saw her. Those of us that were honored enough to see her reaction when loved ones and friends spent time with her or came to see her, will forever cherish those priceless experiences and memories in our hearts and minds. Gina was truly loved by all that knew her!

Survivors include her sisters and brothers Elizabeth “Beth” Marie Jackson, Daphne Ann Dyess, Angela Kristin Jackson-Butler (Mike), David Martin “Marty” Dyess (Marie), Frances Jeannette “Jaye” Jackson Bishop (Billy), Stevie Denise Allen (James), her Oma, Hilda Inez Merritt Jackson, her honorary Mother Detoya Palmer; her Aunts and Uncles James “Jimmy” Elliott Wilson (Colleen) and Judith “Judy” Gore (Dennis) and a number of nieces, nephews and friends that will forever cherish their time with her. In addition to her parents, Gina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. Clarence Alexander “Scut” Wilson, Mrs. Prudence “Prudy” Marie Elliott Wilson, Mr. John Harrison “Johnny” Jackson, Jr, Mr. Albert Atkins, Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Simpson Drinkard, her Uncle Eschol Green Graham, Jr and her brother-in-law, David Ranulfo Lopez.
