Randy Lee Meeks

Randy Lee Meeks passed away suddenly on Monday, October 25, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA at the age of 49.  Born January 21, 1972 in Vero Beach, FL he was the son of Betty Jane Kemp Meeks of Greensboro, GA and the late Larry Ellette Meeks, Sr. At the age of two his family moved to Greensboro where he attended Greene County High School.  Randy worked in construction along side his father.  His many interests included farming, gardening and he could repair anything.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his mother, Janie Meeks of Greensboro, Georgia; son, Jonathan Meeks; girlfriend, Teresa Lide; sister, Jessica Dawn Meeks; brother, Larry Ellette Meeks, Jr.; nieces, Haley Alyssa Golson (Chris Stafford), Heather Michelle Golson and Heidi Miranda Golson; great nephews, Axel Zane Stafford and Hunter Meeks; great niece Melissa Michelle Wilson; and a number of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Meeks on October 22, 2021 and his sister, Melissa Lynn Rhodes on January 1, 2019.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2021 at McCommons Chapel, 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642 with Rev. Dennis Mitchell officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at McCommons Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Centennial Christian Church Cemetery, 4828 Centennial Road, White Plains, GA 30678.  Serving as pallbearers will be Isaac Acosta, Brent Wilson, Michael Adriance, Michael Brown, Marty Meeks, Jamey Griffin, Christopher Meeks and Randell Meeks.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
