Paul Martin Hawley

Paul Martin Hawley of Woodstock, GA died Saturday, May 14, 2022 at his residence at the age of 67.  Born in Cornelia, GA on November 9, 1954 he was the son of Jean Davis Hawley of Union Point, GA and the late Cecil Franklin Hawley.  He graduated from Morrow High School and in 1976 from Piedmont College with a degree in Biology.  On August 2, 1981 he married the former Karen Lynne Blackwell.  Paul was a Research Technician for Georgia Tech retiring in 2014 after thirty-six years.  Paul enjoyed Nascar and Jeeps.  

In addition to his mother, Jean Hawley of Union Point, GA, he is survived by his wife of  forty years, Karen Lynne Blackwell Hawley of Woodstock, GA; son, Adam Hawley; sisters, Peggy Cecilia Latham of Lilburn, GA and Marianne Hawley Freeman (Randy) of White, GA; a number of other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father Cecil Franklin Hawley in 2019 and a brother, David McBride Hawley, II in 2020.

A Graveside Service and Celebration of his Life will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Bill Queen officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service at Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669.
