Patricia Marilyn Elliott

Patricia Marilyn Jones Elliott age 85, of Greensboro, GA, died Monday, December 21, 2020 at The Glen at Lake Oconee Village in Greensboro, GA.  Born in Galesburg, IL Patricia  was the daughter of the late Kenneth H. Jones and Lelia Cecil Walker Jones.   She graduated from Valley High School in Fairview, IL and attended Western Junior College in Macomb, IL . She married Robert Bruce Elliott, Sr., on October 15, 1955.  She was a homemaker raising her two children Lynn and Bruce.  During her husband’s Air Force career they lived in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Indiana and Massachusetts.  Then they moved to Greensboro to be close to their son.  Sewing and gardening were her favorite hobbies.  She had an incredible “Green Thumb” that she passed on to her daughter, Lynn, son, Bruce and granddaughter, Jessica.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Blake and Jessica.  She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Eatonton, GA.

In addition to her husband, Robert Bruce Elliott, Sr. of Greensboro, GA, she is survived by her son, Bruce Elliott and his wife, Lisa; brother, Kent Jones; grandchildren, Jessica Elliott of Vancouver and Blake Elliott of Mille. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Lynn Elliott; sister, Phyllis Wolfe and sister-in-law, Mary Jones.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at McCommons Chapel, 109 West Broad Street, Greensboro, GA with Dennis Duck officiating.  Interment will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville, GA 31061. The family requests that any memorials be made to Crossroads Baptist Church Building Fund, 106 S. Wesley Chapel Rd., Eatonton, GA 31024.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
