Patricia Ann (Griffith) Dickey

Patricia Ann Griffith Dickey, age 82, of Greensboro, GA passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021.  She was born in Atlanta, GA on August 9, 1939 to the late David Porter Griffith and Katherine Collier Griffith.  She is survived by her sister, Jean, children David, Dean and Denise, grandchildren Zack and Cody.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald.

A graduate of Murphy High School in Atlanta, GA, she and Ron married in ‘64.  They lived 8 years in DeKalb County, 25 years in Rockdale County where they raised their three children, and retired to Lake Oconee, where she has lived for the last 22 years.  In addition to dedicating herself to raising her children, she was a bus driver for Rockdale County for many years and treated all of those children as “hers” too.  She had recently volunteered at the Milledgeville VA Clinic and St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greensboro where she also volunteered and was a member of the Women’s Bible Study Group.

Due to public health concerns, the family requests that you help celebrate Pat’s life with them, wherever you may be, this Saturday evening at dusk.  The family further requests that any memorials be made to the VA Clinic at Attn: Agent Cashier/ Voluntary Services, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, 1826 Veterans Blvd, Dublin, GA 31021.
