Nina Elizabeth (Stanley) Bedsole

Nina Elizabeth Stanley Bedsole, age 87, of Greensboro, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Sallie Inez Lundy Stanley.  She was born in Greensboro, Georgia on April 11, 1934.  She was a 1952 graduate of Greensboro High School.  After graduation, she worked for Southern Bell in Atlanta for a brief time.  She returned to Greensboro and was married.  She had two children, June and Steve.  Among her places of employment in later years, included Universal Rundle and Stewart Apparel.  In leisure time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, genealogy research and gardening.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Inez Lundy Stanley and her son, Steve Bedsole.  She is survived by her daughter, June Bedsole and her grandchildren, Barbara Gonzalez (Robert), Margaret Matheny (Phil), Holly Ogletree, James Cason (Ashley), Alan Bedsole, Chris Garcia (David) and great-grandchildren: Victoria Poss, Haley Poss, Sara Ann Matheny, Logan Matheny, Ashlynn Caviness, Preston Caviness, Emily Cason, Alaina Cason, Payton Cason, Corey Bedsole and Daniel Garcia; sister, Barbara Stanley Overton; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Serving as pallbearers are James Cason, Fred Edwards, Jamie Edwards, Robert Gonzalez, Phil Matheny and Logan Matheny.  Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Lundy, Tommy Lundy, Kerry Lundy, and Darryl Lundy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service.  The family request that any memorials be made to Multiple Sclerosis.  McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
