Nellie Huff Seymour

Nellie Huff Seymour, age 85, of Greensboro, Georgia, died Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Eatonton Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was born March 6, 1918 to the late Willie Lee Huff and Vonie Nelms Huff. She attended Greeshamville School. Mrs. Seymour owned and operated a dairy farm with her husband and had worked at City Cafe in Greensboro. Later she worked at Wellington in Madison for a number of years.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Cook of Greensboro, GA and Sara Nell Bryant and husband Charles of Siloam, GA; a sister, Vera Pinkerton of Madison, GA; a brother, Roy Huff of Monroe, GA; eight grandchildren, Cindy Credille, Angela Durham, Allison Bryant, Kelley Coyne, Miranda Seymour, Stacy White, Al Seymour and Catlyn Felts; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Seymour Sr. and a son, Harold Lee "Sonny" Seymour Jr.

Services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. Les Cowart officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery in Greensboro. Serving as pallbearers are Brent Credille, Barry Credille, Rob Durham, Trey Durham, Brad Bryant and Michael Lanier. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday night at the Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
