Nancy S. Nuhfer

Nancy S. Nuhfer, 79, of Union Point GA, passed away December 28, 2025 at Lynn Haven Health and Rehabilitation in Gray, GA.

Born July 25, 1946, in Volant, PA, she was a daughter of Rev. Ormel G. Shindledecker and Erma J. Matthews. Nancy graduated from Uniontown High School, PA. She was an avid reader and spent her leisure time sewing, doing needlework and visiting family and friends.

She was preceded in death on December 14, 2009, by her husband of 41 years, Michael A. Nuhfer, whom she married September 21, 1968, at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, PA.

She is survived by a brother, James D. Shindledecker (Cary) of Corry, PA; a sister, Shirley  Hall (Joseph) of Wilmington, DE; son, Mark Nuhfer (Dawn Walker) of Eatonton, GA; son, Todd Nuhfer (Matthew Jennings) of Berkeley Lake, GA; son, Kevin Nuhfer (Mandy) of Milledgeville, GA; grandchildren, Summer Gaudry (Micah), Hope Daniell (Johnmark), Mason Nuhfer and Jesse Walker Whiddon; and a great-granddaughter, Loretta Joy Daniell.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Jean Shindledecker.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home Chapel, located at 109 W. Broad Street, Greensboro, GA 30642.
