Obituary
Nancy Delane Ellis Rice of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Piedmont Athens Regional at the age of 55. She was born in Monroe, GA on March 28, 1968 to Dennis Wayne Ellis and Cathy Gail Glass. She graduated from Greene-Taliaferro County High School. Five years ago Nancy moved from Crawfordville to Greensboro and was working for the Union Point Post Office as a mail carrier until the time of her death. Cooking, gardening; travelling and camping were her favorite things to do. She loved her family and friends and will truly be missed.
Survivors include her mother, Cathy Gail (Hal) Ogletree from Crawfordville, GA; her father, Wayne Ellis (Faye) of Gainesville, GA; fiancé, Marco Lashley of Greensboro, GA; her daughters, Lacey Bryant of Greensboro, GA and Lindsay Channell (Seth) of White Plains, GA; sons, Toby Batson (Doc) of Richmond, VA and Joshua Batson of Union Point, GA; sisters, Nickie Vinning (Steve) of Long Beach, MS and Shelly Thompson (Butch) of Siloam, GA; grandchildren: Kiya Bryant and Kaleb Bryant from Eatonton, GA, Brealyn Marable, Avery Channell and Hattie Channell of White Plains, GA and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends along with her pet dog, Sheba.
