Muzette Wilson Holloway

Muzette Wilson Holloway, age 94, of Watkinsville, GA, formerly of Penfield, GA died Friday, February 6, 2015 at her residence. Born in Greene County in Penfield Georgia on November 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lowe Wilson and Saddie Olean Wilson.  She grew up and attended school in Penfield.  When she was younger she worked for Robins Air Force Base as a mechanic and later was a homemaker raising her three sons.  She was one of the oldest living members of Penfield Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother, whose greatest joys were being with her family and friends.  She enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Muzette was preceded in death by her husband James Calvin Holloway; son Terry Taylor; and siblings, Eva Wilson Cantrell, Ellen Wilson Lunceford, Hilma Wilson Stewart, Gordon Wilson, W. H. Wilson, James Wilson, Roy D. Wilson, and Lenzy Wilson.  She is survived by two sons, James Michael Holloway of Watkinsville, GA and Bobby Joe Taylor and his wife Sook of Lizella, GA; three grandchildren including Callie Holloway, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held  Monday, February 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at McCommons Chapel with Rev. David Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Penfield Cemetery, 1211 Cemetery Road, Penfield, GA 30669. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Holloway, Dale Towe, Jimmy Love, Walter Wood and Tommy Sorrow.  The family requests that any memorials be made to Penfield Baptist Church, c/o Robert Harwell, 101 Siloam Road, Greensboro, GA 30642.
