Mollie Pikul Obituary

Mollie “Jo” Mollo Pikul of Greensboro, GA entered into eternal rest at home on Monday, July 4, 2022 at the age of 77, she was surrounded by her loving family.  Mollie was born on May 28, 1945 in New York City to the late Frank J. Mollo and Anna Bellino Mollo.  

Mollie married the love of her life, Stanley John Pikul on May 9, 1964, in Goshen, NY.  In 1981 they moved their family to Wilmington NC. for Stan’s work. Mollie was a homemaker raising her daughter, Debra and son, Stanley.  Mollie enjoyed traveling with her husband; and working side by side with him gardening and doing home projects.  She was an excellent cook and baker which was one of her favorite things to do; she was always feeding family, friends, and her church community.  For many years Mollie enjoyed volunteering her time at their church in many different capacities.  Mollie was an extraordinarily loving, selfless, gentle woman.  She completely devoted herself to her family. 
In 2020 Mollie and Stan moved to Greensboro, GA to be closer to their children.  She was a member of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church.  

In addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, Stanley J. Pikul of Greensboro, GA, survivors include her daughter Debra P. Stephens (Larry) of Atlanta, GA; son, Stanley Pikul, Jr. (Nathalie) of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Anne Marie Pikul; brother, Ralph Mollo (Rose Marie) of Chester, NY; sister, Charlotte Mollo (Walter) of Goshen, NY ;niece Bernice Langlitz (Richie) of Florida, NY and nephew Joey Weslowski (Gail) of Florida, NY; cousin Joseph Mollo of Sarasota, FL; and many loving friends. 

In accordance with Mollie’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, 6341 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, GA 30642; followed by a reception in the church’s Sacred Heart Social Hall. 

If desired, memorial donations may be made for Pancreatic Cancer Research in honor of her valiant battle with the disease for the past 13 months.
