Mina Moon Pugh

Mina Moon Pugh, age 103, of Madison, GA, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Madison Health and Rehab. She was born on August 25, 1907 in Farmington in Oconee County to the late George Rufus Moon and Ola Beal Moon. She attended school in a one room schoolhouse in Apalachee. A longtime resident of Madison, Georgia, she was a member of Apalachee Baptist Church. As a homemaker she loved gardening and flowers and raised and canned her own vegetables.

She is survived by a daughter, Agnes Reynolds of Madison, GA; a son, Robert Edward Pugh of Madison, GA; grandchildren Laura Jones and husband Gary of Buckhead, GA, Barbara Schwab and husband Mark of Watkinsville, GA and Robin Luna of Buckhead, GA; great grandchildren, Christine Schwab, Michael Schwab, Johnny Schwab, Victor Hernadez and Cruz Luna; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter that died at birth; and her siblings, Eddie Moon, Claude Moon, Vada Pugh and Lessie Warren.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Madison Memorial Cemetery, Central Avenue, Madison, GA 30650 with Rev. Mike Pritchett officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Richard Nunnally, Richard Jones, David Moore, Richard Peters, Richard Conner and Dennis Miller. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until time for the service on Wednesday at the Graveside.
