Milton Bennett Barnes

     Milton Bennett Barnes of Decatur, GA, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 at Brightmoor Hospice in Conyers, GA.  The only child of  Mary Lois Leach Barnes of Union Point, GA and the late Thomas Monroe Barnes, Milton was born November 11, 1942 in Union Point, GA. He grew up and attended school in Union Point. He was the Area Service Manager of Muzak dealing with sound and communication. On June 28, 1963 he married the former Sandra June Stansell of Greensboro. He especially enjoyed being outdoors where he spent his leisure time fishing and hunting.

     Survivors include his mother, Mary Lois Barnes of Union Point, wife Sandra Barnes of Decatur, GA; daughters, Diana Marie Morgan (Joe) of Monroe, GA and Teresa Lynne Blanton-Wallace (Steve); son, Timothy Michael Barnes (Kim) of Loganville, GA; grandchildren, Misty Dawn Morgan and John Michael Barnes (Megan) both of Oxford, GA and a special friend who was like a brother, Donald Allen.

     Funeral Services will be Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Callaway Funeral Home Chapel, 208 N. Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669 with Dana Chaffin officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Rhodes Street, Union Point, GA 30669. Serving as pallbearers are Tim Barnes, John-Michael Barnes, Joe Morgan, Michael Marks, Randy Blalock and Jason Dodson. Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
