Michael Samuel Missita

Michael Samuel Missita, age 56, of Crawfordville, GA, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his residence. Michael was born in Glens Falls, New York on March 26, 1955. Michael was predeceased by his parents the late Salvatore "Sammy" Missita and George and Mae Hunt Ruggiero. He grew up and attended school in Queensbury, New York. From 1972 to 1975 he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany in the 708 maintenance division. On March 23, 1982 he married the former Kathleen Ann Davis. They had just celebrated their thirtieth anniversary. He was the owner and operator of Mike Missita Lawn service retiring in 2004. Over the years he had attended First Baptist Church of Pompano Beach in Florida, Calvary Chapel in Florida, and most recently Robinson Baptist Church in Crawfordville. His family moved from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Crawfordville in March of 2010. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife Kathleen Missita of Crawfordville, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle Missita of Crawfordville, GA; a son, Joshua Missita and wife Lisa of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; siblings, George Missita of Glens Falls NY, John Missita of Glens Falls NY, Louie (Laurie) Ruggiero of Little Falls NY, Anthony Ruggiero and his companion Kay Hart-Bills of Lake Luzerne NY, Jay (Tammy) Ruggiero, Hollie Lamkins, Charles (Diane) Ruggiero all of Queensbury NY, Todd Ruggiero and his fiancAC. Kathy Keller of Deltona Fl and John (Tammy) Ruggiero of Queensbury NY: three grandchildren, Angelo Missita, Briana Missita and Isabella Missita. Michael also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Robinson Baptist Church, 3083 Robinson Church Rd., Crawfordville, GA 30631 with Rev. Mark Yearwood officiating. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
