Michael John Geis

Born on August 30, 1944, in Canton, Ohio, Mike was the son of the late Heinz George Geis and Elizabeth Kaincz Geis. He graduated from Glenwood High School in Canton, and continued his education earning a Bachelor's in mathematics from Ohio University and a Master's in literature from Western Michigan University. Throughout his life he enjoyed success in his varied career paths as a Professor, Business Owner, Sales and Marketing Executive, and as Director of Business Development at Ametek Measurement Technology until his retirement in January 2011.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Geis, in June 2014. He is survived by his children: David Geis and his wife Angela of Gurnee, IL, and Alyssa Myers with his two beloved granddaughters, Lauren and Claire Myers of Watkinsville, GA. He also leaves behind his loving partner LeeAnn Baker of Greensboro, GA. Additional survivors include his brothers, John Geis (Patti) of Cape Coral, FL, and Robert Geis (Rebecca) of Canton, OH.
