Michael Kenneth Firster

Michael Kenneth Firster, of Union Point, GA, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the age of 55, at his home. Born on September 16, 1970, in Greensboro, GA, he was the son of the late Robert Firster and Stella Lee Chapman Firster. Michael served as an Assistant Inventory Manager for Ingles in Greensboro. His diverse talents included poetry, culinary skills as a chef, master gardening, and dog training. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Union Point.

His survivors include his soulmate Cathy Evans Firster of Athens, GA; children Kelley Crosby of Hampton, SC, Amber Firster (Nehemiah Blue) of Yemassee, SC, and Bret Firster of Norcross, GA; grandchildren Alonia LaShay Bowman and Noah Blue of Yemassee, SC, Ronald “Trey” Crosby and Caylee Crosby of Hampton, SC, Christopher Jacob Firster of GA, and Carter Firster of Alabama; his brothers Baron Firster (Becky) of Forsyth, GA, Kevin Firster (Anita) of Hampton, SC, Mark Firster (Kelly) of Carrollton, GA, and Danny Firster (Sheila) of Athens, GA; along with other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his beloved pets: Rex, Freya, and Daisey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025,at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 206 Thornton Street, Union Point, GA 30669, with Rev. Alec Ward  officiating..
