Mary Kate Jackson Spencer, 79, of Greensboro, GA, died April 14, 2004 at Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Douglas County on May 26, 1924 to the late Frank Jackson and Frankie Harper Jackson. She was a retired printer and binder from Foot and Davies Printing in Atlanta and had lived in Greensboro for the past two years.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Loretta Vivian Franklin and Shirley Ann Mursch; and a granddaughter, Michelle Skinner. She is survived by a son-in-law, Frank Wood and wife Angelia of Greensboro, GA; five grandchildren, Vivian Brown and husband Phil of Franklin, GA, Denean Chandler and husband Scott of Douglasville, GA, Eddie Skinner and wife Belinda of Rome, GA, Jerry Wood of Greensboro, GA and Brian Mursch of Atlanta, GA; four great-grandchildren, Curtis Chandler of Douglasville, GA, Amanda Holland of Franklin, GA, Jacob Skinner and Kyle Skinner both of Rome, GA; and a number of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the family''s home.
