Mary Jane (Alexander) Nariss

Mary Jane Nariss of Greensboro, GA died at the age of 85 on Friday afternoon December 8, 2023 with family by her side.  Mary was a devoted wife and loving mother, and will be dearly missed.

Mary was born November 23, 1938 in Hobart, IN to the late Gladys Lorraine Holmes and Samuel Alexander. She married Bob Nariss on June 13, 1959. Being part of an Army family, they raised their 2 children in several states. Mary was a retired secretary and enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, and gardening, and later was pickleball champ for her age group. After retiring Mary and Bob enjoyed taking cruises and international traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bob of Greensboro, GA; daughter, Sue and husband Rick of Townville, SC and son Bob and wife Lisa of Eatonton, GA; a sister, Gloria of Oregon and a brother, Jim of Oregon.  She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother.

Mary was a member of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church in Greensboro.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1:00PM at McCommons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
