Marvin Howard “Bubba” Anderson, Jr. of Union Point, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at PruittHealth in Washington, GA, at the age of 61.
Born on July 17, 1964, in Greensboro, GA, he was the son of the late Marvin Howard Anderson, Sr. and Shirley Wilson Anderson. Bubba was a graduate of Oglethorpe High School. He worked as a chicken grower for several years for Pilgrims before returning to driving a log truck. He also spent many years as a cattle farmer. Bubba dedicated significant time to logging and enjoyed farming as well.
An ardent lover of the outdoors, Bubba was an excellent hunter and fisherman, and he was known for his deep affection for animals, including his late beloved pets, Matilda and Hank. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church of Union Point, GA.
Bubba is survived by his sister, Tammy Anderson of Union Point, GA and his long time friend, Laura West of Washington, GA, and a number of other relatives and friends.
A gathering in memory of Bubba will be held at the Bethesda Baptist Church, 1560 Bethesda Church Road, Union Point, GA 30669, on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Callaway Funeral Home, 208 N.
